KIPP has developed unique partnerships with higher education where we are learning from each other about how to increase graduation rates for students from low income families and those who are the first in their families to attend college. Our character framework was developed by KIPP NYC in collaboration with Dr. Angela Duckworth, Dr. Martin Seligman, the late Dr. Chris Peterson, and in partnership with Riverdale Country School. Based on research and experience, KIPP has developed resources to help teachers, students, and parents foster these character strengths. We continue to explore emerging strategies such as restorative justice, to help build positive school communities.
