2013 Honda Foreman Manual
So, I have a 2013 foreman, manual shift only (foot shift) it's stuck in 2nd gear, I have shifter movement up and down but it does not shift. I've got the front cover off, removed the shift plate, the parts in front of it, and the star shaped guy behind it. Everything looks perfect, spring is good, plate is fine, bolt was tight, dowel pin in place, etc. It all looks good. When I move the shifter I have movement on the shaft coming thru from the back.

So it's not broken in between. I have looked at all the posts out here, and blow up diagrams of the parts / what they look like if bad. They all look good. The rear wheels are locked solid so it's in gear for sure. Display says 2nd. Maybe there is something electrical that is not happening? Welcome to the forums.
Even stuck in 2nd gear?you still should be able to nudge it back and forth? If the rear wheels are locked solid?this tells me your rear differential or rear brakes are seized?I guess the question would be why it wouldnt come out of gear, shouldnt stop it from shifting. Yupper locked up rear will make all sorts of problems you can also remove the rear propellor shaftHow do you pull he rear drive shaft? It looks to me like you have to pull the rear diff. I have drained it. No chunks in the fluid.

Just fine metallic particles. Feel thats normal as this is a high mile machine.
I'd like to pull the rear drive line tomorrow but I'm pretty sure it slips in the trans and slips into the diff. So one of those two will have to be moved. Rear diff I reckon is easier. Gotta pull the axles and all though.
Bummer of a design, unless I am missing something?
